About your practitioner:

Miss Julia Spivack BSc (Hons), DO, MSCC, MICO, RSHom, Adv. Dip. (Ayur)

Offers low-tech environmentally-friendly and economically-sustainable natural medicine.

She practises three major systems of medicine:- Osteopathy, Homeopathy and Ayurveda.  Also trained in allergy and food intolerance testing and treatment, and offers nutritional advice/therapy and has also qualified as a Teacher of Transcendental Meditation which she has taught for many years and now teaches independently at less than half the normal cost.

My background and training and quaifications

I left school with three science A levels and studied pharmacology for four years at university and have spent a number of years working in drug research and regulation in the pharmaceutical industry and therefore have a thorough understanding of pharmaceutical medicine.

I undertook a 6-year training in Osteopathy at the Andrew Still College of Osteopathy and at the London School of Osteopathy at undergraduate level and 4 years formal postgraduate training in cranial osteopathy with the Sutherland Cranial College and two years formal postgraduate training at the Institute of Classical Osteopathy.  I have a formal 4 year training in Homeopathy and 10 years formal undergraduate training and 3 years postgraduate training in ayurvedic medicine which inlcudes a medical and surgical hospital based training.

I combine my knowledge and skills base to fulfil the function of a general primary care physician for a wide range of health problems such as asthma, allergies, food intolerances, back pain, neck pain, eczema, menstrual problems, migraine, headaches, problems with eyes, ears, sinuses, jaw problems, problems in pregnancy. problems in children and babies - eg colic, glue ear, unable to settle.  Sleeping difficulties.

I specialise in helping people who want alternatives to drugs and surgery for common health problems.

My philosophy as a practitioner is that the public should have a real choice in medicine and that they should have the right to have access to systems of healthcare that are non-toxic and that do not cause side-effects or other problems in their endeavour to address common health problems.

I diagnose and treat the patient as a whole person and my aim is to restore health by removing the obstacles to the body`s self-healing rather than palliate and suppress symptoms.

I encourage and facilitate the patient in developing the ability to access their own resources and become their own physician - which is much easier than you might imagine.  Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for life is my motto.  I educate my patients in sustainable healthcare.

Would you like to be free from health problems ?   Would you like to be in charge of your own health rather than dependent on a practitioner ?

Click on the "About Ayurveda" tab in the left hand corner for some simple but powerful health tips and learn the secret of how to become your own physician.

Would you like to learn Transcendental Meditation at less than half the fee charged by the official TM organisation ?   If so click on the "About Ayurveda" tab on the top left corner and scroll down for more details.
